Creative Services Producer/Discount Dining Director

KREX-TV NewsChannel 5 has an immediate opening for a Creative Services Producer/Discount Dining Director. This person is responsible for conceptualizing local television commercials from start to finish. Good writing skills are important, and knowledge of Final Cut Studio and the Adobe Creative suite is a plus. A strong working knowledge of Apple computers and software is a MUST. 

Must work well with others and be a team player. Some overtime may be required, and you must be able to work weekends and holidays if scheduled. A Bachelor’s degree in mass communications/film is preferred, but not necessary. A clean and neat appearance is important. 

This job will also include selling and promoting our Big Deal. The right person for this position will be asked to sell clients on half-price coupons that can be purchased on our website, KREXTV. com. There is a commission paid on each coupon that is sold, that goes ON TOP of the hourly rate for the Creative Services pay.

 Duties include (but are not limited to):

Writing/shooting HD commercials, and then editing them using Final Cut Pro.

Downloading and transferring spots for the sales department.

Assisting sales/promotions with special projects.

Cross-training in live studio production to serve as a fill-in.

Chief Engineer

KREX, KFQX, and KGJT have a rare opportunity for the right candidate. We are seeking a full-time Chief Engineer for our CBS, Fox, and MyNetwork TV stations in Western Colorado. A successful candidate should have strong IT and RF skills, working knowledge of broadcast technology including maintenance of studio equipment and networks, as well as a familiarity with news operations. Physical abilities needed include working in small spaces and lifting 50 lbs. or more, as well as climbing ladders and reaching overhead. We require a valid state driver’s license and an excellent driving record. Generally a Monday through Friday position, although occasional night and weekend work will be required, as will 24/7 on-call availability. Please send your resume to the address below.
